The Church of
the Lord (Aladura) is
conscious of her mission to
spread the good news of our
Lord Jesus Christ to every
nooks and corner of the
world.
The Yoruba- (a
language of the
South-Western Region of
Nigeria) –Word “Aladura”
means “Prayer Fellowship” or
“The Praying People”. This
is so because we believe in
the power of prayer and
fasting.
The cross of
Christ Jesus is our Guide.
The church was formerly
established in the year of
our Lord 1930. The Founder
and 1st Primate
(Late Prophet Dr. Josiah
Olunowo Ositelu), of the
Church Organisation received
his calling as far back as
1925.
On 12th
July, 1966 the Late Primate
and Founder Dr. J. O.
Ositelu was called to
eternal glory and was
succeeded by the 2nd
Primate (Late Apostle Dr.
Emmanuel Adeleke Adejobi).
On 17th
May, 1991 the great Primate
Dr. E. O. Adejobi was also
called to higher service and
was succeeded by the 3rd
Primate (Late Most Rev.
Gabriel Olusegun Ositelu) of
blessed memory.
On 26th
April, 1998 the people’s
Primate G. O. Ositelu was
translated to eternal glory
and was succeeded by the
present and 4th
Primate of the Church of the
Lord (Aladura) Organisation
Worldwide – His Eminence,
Most Rev. Dr. Rufus Okikiola
Ositelu. He was at the
Tabieorar Festival Night
held on the 22nd
August, 1998, proclaimed as
the new Primate of the
Church of the Lord (Aladura)
Worldwide with effect from
16th day of
August, 1998. May the LORD
Almighty continue to uphold,
strengthen and guide him in
Jesus Name. Amen.
The
Church of the Lord (Aladura)
is a revealed Covenant
church from above.
The solid foundation of the
Church is laid on LOVE,
FAITH and HOPE. Every
adherent of the Church is
enjoined to abide and
practise these virtues.
The four
tenets of the tenets of the
church can be described as:
PENTECOSTAL IN POWER;
BIBLICAL IN PATTERN;
EVANGELICAL IN MINISTRY; and
ECUMENICAL IN OUTLOOK:
· Biblical
in pattern in the sense that
in all matters of Faith,
Conduct, Doctrine, Rituals,
Character and Discussions,
our Supreme Court of Appeal
is the Holy Bible. Thus the
Holy Bible is our Spiritual
Constitution.
· Pentecostal
in power in the sense that
the Spirit of our Lord Jesus
Christ is the Administrator
of the Church through which
the Church is guided,
directed, filled,
influenced, administered and
managed.
· Evangelical
in the sense that we carry
the Gospel to the nooks and
corners of the world, and we
preach the good news to all
irrespective of background,
race
or gender.
·
Ecumenical in
outlook in the sense that we
embrace and encourage
brotherly and sisterly love
among the believers, and we
do not forsake the saints,
for the prayer of the High
Priest - our Lord Jesus
Christ – for the church is,
“That they may one” (John
17:21).

Aladura
Theological Institute
If you are ambitious, you
can now acquire a
theological education
without having to take a
back seat when it comes to
Bible education. You now
have the choice to enroll
with the ALADURA THEOLOGICAL
INSTITUTE (ATI).
If you are more concerned
about pleasing God than
pleasing yourself, if you
are more interested in the
what life is all about than
money, if you want God to
change your life for the
better, and if you want to
be vessel of honour unto God
you may now register your
interest with ATI – Anthony
Campus, at the ADEJOBI
MEMORIAL THEOLOGICAL
SEMINARY, Anthony-Village,
Lagos or Ogere Campus, at
the OLUSEGUN OSITELU
MEMORIAL THEOLOGICAL
INSTITUTE, Ogere-Remo.
Whether you have a high
school education or not, a
university education or not,
ALADURA THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY
has a program to fit every
need. Graduates and
non-graduates may enroll in
our theological seminary to
pursue a certificate or a
diploma programme. We are
planning to have degree
courses in the future.
Our campuses
are reporting an increase in
the enrollment of students!
To God Be The Glory!!!
Our service
is offered to those who
desire and feel a need of
it.
ATI is guided
by four purposes:
1.
The work of
the Schools is designed to
offer professional training
for pastors, evangelists,
and those engaged in various
forms of Christian
educational work.
2.
ATI seeks to
equip these leaders with
skills which will make them
effective in their service
of the Word through the life
of the churches and
denominations.
3.
ATI serves
all level. Whatever your
educational level, you are
invited to participate,
provided you can communicate
in english. English is the
language of communication.
4.
ATI
recognizes other agencies.
However, credit recognition
is determined by the
institute alone.
We have dedicated personnel
with experience as leaders
in the Christian field, who
desire to pass on their
knowledge to those who need
it to prepare themselves for
the best in Christian
service.
Our doors are
open to all who seek a
greater knowledge of God’s
Word.
God may have
called you to the task, but
to do the job that He
intended you to do, you have
to „sharpen your axe!“ ATS,
and the education it offers
is the one that give you
that sharp edge.
Our policy holds forth that
attendance at ALADURA
THEOLOGICAL INSTITUTE
campuses is a privilege and
not a right, and this
privilege may be forfeited
by any student who does not
conform to the standards,
rules and regulations of the
institution. A Christian
testimony is essential to
effective Christian work.
Therefore, standards are a
must if our students are to
project a good testimony.
His Eminence,
Most Rev. Dr.
Rufus Ositelu
Primate,
C.L.(A) – Worldwide
